About this event

Degun’s music complements the ancient traditions of ragas with contemporary compositional techniques.

In this collaborative performance, players from LPO and Degun co-create a musical tale, driven by the beautiful spontaneity of the Indian classical tradition, transporting you through layers of mesmerising melody.

One of Britain’s leading voices in the Indian classical tradition, Degun is no stranger to forming alliances in the music world. Both innovator and custodian of tradition, composer and performer.

‘It’s really not a matter of different worlds meeting,’ he reflects. ‘It’s just me: as much as I’m immersed in Indian classical music, I’m a product of this country; I’m a British composer.’

The ticket price includes a £2 venue restoration levy.
