About this event

Celebrated broadcaster Kate Humble – known for BBC’s Springwatch, Wild in Africa and Into the Volcano – explores Earth as a living, breathing force, constantly shifting and renewing itself. In this pre-concert talk, Kate will bring volcanoes and other awe-inspiring natural phenomena to life, illuminating the forces that shape our world and setting the stage for Gustavo Díaz-Jerez’s piano concerto Tajogaite. Inspired by the volcano on La Palma which erupted for 85 days in 2021, the work receives its UK premiere in the evening’s concert.

Please note tickets for this event are free.
